What LightDoh handles
LightDoh uses Android’s local VPN interface only to handle DNS queries. DNS queries necessarily leave your device so names can be resolved. During normal operation they are sent to encrypted DNS services over HTTPS. If those services cannot answer, an emergency unencrypted UDP DNS fallback may be used.
What LightDoh does not do
LightDoh does not tunnel or inspect general web and app traffic. AlbSoft does not intentionally store or sell DNS message contents, browsing history, device identifiers, or personal information through the app. The app has no advertising SDK and requires no AlbSoft account.
Service operation and security
Network infrastructure may process transient connection metadata such as IP address, timestamps, and security signals to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the service. DNS relay operation is designed not to log DNS message contents. No network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Permissions
LightDoh uses Internet, notification, foreground-service, and Android VPN service capabilities to provide visible, user-controlled DNS protection. App backup and cleartext application traffic are disabled.
Children, changes, and contact
LightDoh is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when the app or service changes. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@albsoft.me.
